NCJA invite all to “Grow Your Business!” at 2022 Educational Bootcamp

The North Carolina Jewelers Association (NCJA) invites you to join them Saturday, February 26 at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, NC for the 2022 NCJA Educational Bootcamp. The day of education, networking and fun is free to all jewelers and their staff. Jewelers from all states are welcome.

The one day event is being held in conjunction with the SJO Jewelry Show being held February 26-28, 2022.

NCJA Educational Bootcamp activities include two seminars.

Seminar #1: “CAD and its Thriving Importance in Today’s Jewelry Market!” Leading the seminar is Joel McFadden, a renowned bench jeweler with 50 years experience, SCULL member, speaker and the first MJSA Mentor Jeweler.

Seminar #2: “The D.I.A.M.O.N.D. Growth Strategy – 7 Strategies to Significantly Increase Revenue & Boost Profits!” The speaker is “Diamond” Bill Warren, retail jeweler, author of two #1 best selling books, speaker, marketing coach, creator of Diamond Bill Marketing podcast and radio show and the Ultimate Mastermind Group.

There will also be a roundtable discussion on “Lab Grown Diamonds and Their Place in Today’s Jewelry Industry!”

A fun Sip & Sparkle Fundraiser will be held after the seminars. There will be 75 champagne flutes ($25/stem). In the bottom of two flutes will be a genuine ½ ct diamond. The odds are good and proceeds go directly to Jewelers for Children.

We love the wide range of jewelry metals today that give consumers tremendous options for creating the exact piece of their dreams. Metal alloys are some of the more exciting variations for imaginative jewelry designers to work with. These options better reflect the tastes of a client and help them to personalize their jewelry, making it truly unique to them. Natural Alloy One topic catching my eye at the moment is a rare and naturally occurring metal alloy – electrum. This word, electrum may be uncommon to modern society, but it’s a Latin word derived from the Greek electron mentioned in the Odyssey referring to a metallic substance consisting of gold alloyed with silver. Electrum was usually called white gold in antiquity. But more accurately it was described as pale gold since ...
