NCJA deems 2022 Education Bootcamp a success

At the beautiful Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, NC, The North Carolina Jewelers Association (NCJA) held its 2022 Education Bootcamp at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, NC.  The event was held in conjunction with the SJO Jewelry Show, February 26-28, and was attended by jewelers and vendors from several states.

Bill Warren (Diamond Bill Marketing), Joel McFadden (CAD Design) and Jason Hoffman (GN Diamond) shared their knowledge and expertise to jewelers desiring to grow their business.

Fun, friendship and ‘bubbly’ was enjoyed by all at the festive ‘Sip & Sparkle’ champagne fundraiser. Sip & Sparkle raised funds for Jewelers for Children, and two lucky winners not only sipped, but won ½ ct genuine diamonds. The fundraiser was held in loving memory of Arnold and Freda Gibbs, long time NC jewelers.

“I was thrilled to see so many happy faces, said Alan Sutton, NCJA president. “And I love taking back new ideas to my store!”

“All of the hard work paid off,” said Carolyn Woltz Lennon, Bootcamp Chairperson. “Friends being together is what it’s all about. Just wait until you see what we plan for our next event!”

Stay up to date with the NCJA and its activities by going onto their website ncja.us. There you can become a member, enjoy the fun pictures from this event and apply for the Education Scholarship the NCJA offers to a deserving recipient who wants to grow in the jewelry industry.

The Story Behind the Stone: Metal Mashup

Reading Time: 6 minutes I have to confess I just learned about electrum when this topic crawled up on my radar. We love the wide range of jewelry metals today that give consumers tremendous options for creating the exact piece of their dreams. Metal alloys are some of the more exciting variations for imaginative jewelry designers to work with.
