R.I.) – The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT), a not-for-profit organization that is a leader in credit reporting and collections services, is proud to announce that Richard Katz, Chief Operating Officer of Richline Group, Inc., was appointed Chairman of the Board at the Company’s Annual meeting on February 9, and Board Meeting on March 9.
Richard has volunteered on the Board with JBT since 2008, recently serving as vice chairman. Richard now brings his expertise and vast experience in finance, operations, and leadership to the role of chairman. Richard succeeds Ann Arnold, Chief Strategic Officer at Buyers International Group.
“I am honored to serve at the helm of this board working together with some of the brightest and dedicated individuals in the industry. JBT is uniquely positioned to help companies in this industry to better know their customers and suppliers,” says Richard Katz.

The Board elected the following Officers and Directors to serve a one-year term as follows:

- Treasurer: Erich Jacobs
Nilesh Sheth of Forever Collections, Inc. was also appointed to the JBT Executive Committee.
Newly elected to the Board for a two-year term:
- Mr. Roger Gesswein, III, Paul H. Gesswein & Company, Inc.
Gesswein received his BS in Finance from Lehigh University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is a current Board member of the 24 Karat Club of the City of New York and Market Development Manager at the Gesswein Company, a manufacturer and distributor of tools and equipment for the jewelry industry.
