GCAL and Vision 360 partner to open New York City service center

(NEW YORK) – GCAL (Gem Certification & Assurance Lab), in partnership with Vision 360, announced the opening of a new dedicated scanning service center – Studio 360, located in the GCAL laboratory on the 27th floor of 580 Fifth Avenue, New York City. With state-of-the-art technology, Vision 360 has been a global leader in creating superior quality 360° video photography of loose diamonds, colored gemstones, and finished jewelry. Now the same high-quality and cutting-edge technology service will be managed and operated in New York by GCAL.

According to Angelo Palmieri, GCAL COO and partner: “We are the logical partner to be selected by Vision 360 because we were an early adaptor of this outstanding video and photographic technology. Our team of exceptionally talented technicians have become remarkably proficient, surpassing even our own expectations for video quality. And we continue to provide this service to all retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers certifying their diamonds, gemstones and finished jewelry with the GCAL laboratory.”

“Timing is perfect,” continued Angelo, “with the impact of the 8X® diamond cut grade on the industry. 8X certification is a visual, scientific and accurate demonstration of a diamond’s brilliance, fire, scintillation and beauty. The 8X digital certificates, featuring the 360° video, play a critical role in retail sales success.”

While sharing his thoughts about the collaboration, Vasudev Ankoliya, Vision 360 CEO and founder said: “GCAL is one of the pioneers and most trusted brands in New York. It is their high standard and consistency that led us to have a partnership with them. Likewise, the association between both companies was possible because we believe in a similar ideology- where integrity and customer satisfaction is foremost.”

One of the most advanced 360-degree photography systems, Vision 360 is an exclusively designed gem and jewelry system. This futuristic system, with its Vision 360 camera, rotating stage, lighting control and software combine to create a virtual diamond and jewelry consumer shopping experience, providing the ultimate consumer a realistic view in a virtual environment. Retailers’ customers can digitally assess the diamond or piece of jewelry as if they were examining it in person, from anywhere in the world. One of the most instantaneous devices, it can also be used with ease. Users need only to place, preview & scan.  Within seconds the diamond is scanned and the result is ready to share with anyone on any platform.  Turnaround time for 360° videos of stones and jewelry is only 24 to 48 hours.

Jeweler’s grand reopening redefines parking hazards

In late September of this year, a car crashed through the front door of Stall Jewelers, doing massive damage to the store and injuring Norma Stall . Norma and her husband, Eric are owners of the Round Rock, Texas store. The couple got to work on a huge remodeling and renovation project, and was able to reopen in time for the Christmas season. To promote the reopening, they worked with jewelry store marketing veteran James Porte of Porte Marketing to create an ad campaign. Using humor in the campaign, the Stalls and Porte were able to create a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. The ad campaign, created by Porte Marketing, produced a huge amount of customer calls, in-store visits and sales. “ People have come in on that ad, and called. It’s working like a charm. You’re an advertising genius,” Eric told James. “We wanted to create an ad that got people talking,” Porte said.
