Time Century Jewelry Center bringing top security to downtown Miami

(MIAMI) – When you plan to develop a building that will house the finest designers, manufacturers, and wholesalers of jewelry and watches, you must keep them safe and protect their high-value inventory. That is why the Time Century Jewelry Center has contracted DGA Security Systems, a leading security firm in the U.S. specializing in protecting diamond and jewelry businesses with multiple security protocols for tenants and visitors alike.

“We plan to make Time Century Jewelry building a secure environment that will both promote business and protect inventory,” says Yair Levy, owner and developer. “We know how important security is for our tenants.” A seasoned New York developer, Levy is the first to focus exclusively on the jewelry sector in Downtown Miami. He has committed to invest $50 million in the Time Century Jewelry Center, meant to house almost 300 jewelry-focused businesses and anchor the District.

“We selected the very best security firm in the industry, DGA Security. DGA is the most experienced company in the market who will work closely with our planners and architects to create effective, unobtrusive high-security systems,” Levy says.

DGA has installed more UL-listed Central Station Alarm Systems for jewelry businesses than any other company in the United States, says Time Century Jewelry. DGA Security Systems UL Certificates are fully recognized by every jewelry insurer.

Different types of businesses require different security and fire solutions. DGA has been protecting businesses of all kinds for more than 50 years. DGA’s extensive knowledge of the unique security and fire risks associated with each type of business, regulatory compliance, and insurance requirements, as well as best-in-class technology, allows DGA to create customized solutions specifically designed for the jewelry industry. Levy plans to have industry-leading protection and provide enhanced security services using the latest technology for the Time Century Jewelry building.

“We integrate all intrusion and video systems in the building for more intelligent protection, such as receiving video images of alarm events as they occur. DGAOneVIEW® Video goes beyond protecting your business,” says Jason Gonzalez Senior Security Consultant at DGA Security. DGA will monitor the operations in real time, which is a powerful way to ensure owner, employee, and customer safety while supervising staff movements and enhancing the customer experience. Having the right security measures in place is a critical component of all technology and implementation that Time Century Jewelry Center will provide for its tenants.

More about Time Century Jewelry District: Plans to open Levy’s first project are targeted for summer 2022, offering over 225,000 square feet within their beautifully appointed luxury landmark location. The entire project is designed with the latest state-of-the-art conveniences necessary to service the growing influx of jewelers, watch companies, and jewelry trade services now establishing themselves in the heart of downtown Miami. With a sizeable three-story atrium and custom-designed escalators, shoppers can see through to the elegant salons throughout the first three levels. Most retail spaces will have clear signage viewable from the main floor. Visiting customers will also benefit from Time Century’s very own valet parking service or select from several newly-built public parking garages steps away from the building.

The Story Behind the Stone: Metal Mashup

Reading Time: 6 minutes I have to confess I just learned about electrum when this topic crawled up on my radar. We love the wide range of jewelry metals today that give consumers tremendous options for creating the exact piece of their dreams. Metal alloys are some of the more exciting variations for imaginative jewelry designers to work with.
