WatchTime New York returns to Midtown Manhattan October 21-23, 2022

(NEW YORK) – WatchTime New York is gearing up for the luxury watch show’s seventh edition in Midtown Manhattan, taking place Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 23, 2022, under the famed rotunda of Gotham Hall. Anticipation runs high for the collector show, which unites enthusiasts directly with some of the world’s leading watch brands. Throughout the 3-day event, produced by WatchTime, attendees get the chance to join the conversation by engaging with prestigious wristwatch brands and leading personalities of the watch world.

Dialogue, interaction, and hands-on experiences are the luxury event’s hallmarks, an irresistible formula that historically attracts attendees from across the globe to socialize and engage directly with the makers and movers that shape the luxury watch industry. This year, 26 watch exhibitors are already confirmed, including A. Lange & Söhne, Blancpain, Bremont, Chopard, G-Shock, Grand Seiko, MB&F, Montblanc, Parmigiani, and more, with additional brands to be announced.

Attendees can also expect a host of on-site activities and live panel discussions. Select brands are also set to launch new products to the world live from the show floor during the event.

From its outset in 2015, the buzz generated by the WatchTime New York event amongst the world’s luxury and watch collecting communities has spawned numerous related events. WatchTime New York anchors the unofficial “WatchTime week,” when the world’s leading watch collectors and key luxury influencers converge on New York City for a celebration of mechanical wristwatches.

“The industry has proven to be incredibly resilient over the last few years, defying expectations as interest in wristwatches continues to soar,” says Roger Ruegger, WatchTime Editor-in-Chief. “It’s clear that collectors are more eager than ever to discover and engage with new watch brands and the people behind them, which is precisely what WatchTime New York was established to do.” WatchTime Publisher Sara Orlando concurs, noting that, “As the show continues to grow in size and scope to meet demand, we look forward to announcing new brand exhibitors and activations in the weeks to come.”

WatchTime producers will again offer the extended 3-day event format introduced in 2021 to encourage ample space for social distancing while offering broader activations and high-profile panel discussions. VIP tickets are available and offer full 3-day admission, or attendees can also build their itinerary of choice with single-day event tickets.

WatchTime New York will observe current New York City and CDC guidelines to ensure the health and comfort of all event participants. Those who cannot attend WatchTime New York this year in person can follow panel discussions on posts on WatchTime social channels. For more details, visit watchtimeevents.com.

The Story Behind the Stone: Metal Mashup

Reading Time: 6 minutes I have to confess I just learned about electrum when this topic crawled up on my radar. We love the wide range of jewelry metals today that give consumers tremendous options for creating the exact piece of their dreams. Metal alloys are some of the more exciting variations for imaginative jewelry designers to work with. These options better reflect the tastes of a client and help them to personalize their jewelry, making it truly unique to them. Electrum was usually called white gold in antiquity. But more accurately it was described as pale gold since ...
