AGS announces featured speakers for Conclave 2023

Reading Time: 4 minutes(LAS VEGAS) – Conclave has long been known for its outstanding and innovative speakers and thought leaders who set the standard for educational excellence. The American Gem Society is thrilled to announce its lineup of featured speakers, which further elevates that standard.

The next Conclave will be held in Louisville, KY, May 1-3, just days before the famed Kentucky Derby. In addition to the Society’s recent announcement that Andre Agassi will lead a stellar list of Keynote speakers, the lineup now includes three leading national speakers for the Featured roster – subject matter experts known for delivering practical solutions that produce results.

Terri Sjodin is the Featured speaker on Monday, May 1st. Terri is a top speech coach for sales professionals and a popular speaker worldwide. Her unique specialization is advancing the persuasive presentation skills of professionals. She is the author of the national bestselling book Small Message, Big Impact (Penguin/Portfolio). Terri’s sought-after consulting practice has taken her from working out of her house to working with the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a frequent guest on radio and television talk shows throughout the country, appearing on The Today Show, Bloomberg, CNBC, and more.

The Featured speaker on Tuesday, May 2nd, is Seth Mattison, an internationally recognized adviser and a top-rated speaker on talent management, digital transformation, and the future of work. His research and case studies focus on inspiring audiences while sharing advice to drive meaningful outcomes for individuals and organizations. Seth coaches high-performing leaders with practical, life-tested ideas, concepts, and frameworks to elevate their impact and legacy. He has helped a range of companies, from the Dallas Cowboys to Walt Disney and AT&T to IBM.

Jess Pettitt is the Wednesday, May 3rd Featured speaker. Jess believes that to thrive, you must ride two horses at once: one of humility and one of ego. This is why while hosting and performing stand-up in New York City, she worked as a diversity and inclusion specialist as her day job. Twenty years later, Jess still uses humor to deliver actionable content to address the intersection of leadership and diversity. Her direct experience helps clients uncover a deeper sense of belonging, with resourceful collaboration opportunities that reignite their creativity and innovative ideation.

“I am very excited that our Featured speakers at Conclave this year are presenting such diverse topics. There is something for everyone,” said Denise Richards, Chair of the Conclave Subcommittee. “Terry Sjodin, Seth Mattison, and Jess Pettitt will all deliver advice that we can take back to our businesses immediately and drive results.”

In addition to Andre Agassi, AGS recently announced that Liz Forkin Bohannon and The Passing Zone will also be Keynote speakers.

To register for the event, visit AGS.org/Conclave. The American Gem Society urges all members to book their hotel rooms early, as the Kentucky Derby immediately follows Conclave. Flight discounts are available; information is on the Conclave website.
