National Jeweler announces recipients of 2023 Retailer Hall of Fame

(NEW YORK) – National Jeweler has announced the induction of four leading jewelry retailers into its Retailer Hall of Fame. The 2023 inductees are Holly Wesche, Wesche Jewelers; Ingrid and Stan Razny, Razny Jewelers; and Candy Udell of London Jewelers.

National Jeweler will be releasing the digital version of the Retailer Hall of Fame magazine and mailing the print edition in mid-October.

“We are so excited to induct Holly, Ingrid and Stan, and Candy into the National Jeweler Retailer Hall of Fame. They’ve dedicated their careers to the jewelry industry and we cannot wait to share their stories in the 2023 Retailer Hall of Fame issue, which will be out in October,” said National Jeweler Editor-in-Chief Michelle Graff.

The publication’s 2023 inductees include:

Holly Wesche, Wesche Jewelers
Holly’s family opened Wesche Jewelers 40 years ago. Under her leadership, it’s grown into one of the largest independent jewelry stores in Florida. She is a Past President of the Florida Jewelers Association, immediate past Chair of Jewelers of America’s Board of Directors, and has served on the Board of the Leading Jewelers of the World and has been a Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce Board Member for over 10 years.

Ingrid and Stan RaznyMulti-Store Independent
Ingrid and Stan Razny, Razny Jewelers
For over 70 years and three generations, Razny Jewelers has been a Chicago area favorite family-owned jeweler. Stan and Ingrid Razny have overseen the company’s exponential growth from one small independent boutique to four thriving locations. Working alongside their three children, they are proud to represent the world’s most distinguished designers and brands – including their own bridal collection, Forever by Razny.

Candy Udell of London Jewelers
Candy Udell is the President of London Jewelers. She joined the company in 1973 and together with her husband Mark, they transformed the family business and formed relationships with global luxury brands like Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier and Bvlgari. Candy’s talent for design and marketing has been a driving force behind London Jewelers’ expansion from one storefront to today’s ever-growing family of boutiques across Long Island, Manhattan and New Jersey.

We love the wide range of jewelry metals today that give consumers tremendous options for creating the exact piece of their dreams. Metal alloys are some of the more exciting variations for imaginative jewelry designers to work with. These options better reflect the tastes of a client and help them to personalize their jewelry, making it truly unique to them. Natural Alloy One topic catching my eye at the moment is a rare and naturally occurring metal alloy – electrum. This word, electrum may be uncommon to modern society, but it’s a Latin word derived from the Greek electron mentioned in the Odyssey referring to a metallic substance consisting of gold alloyed with silver. Electrum was usually called white gold in antiquity. But more accurately it was described as pale gold since ...
