Welcome to the Pearls of Wisdom! Last year, a flattering article was published in Mid-America/ Southern Jewelry News, highlighting three generations of excellence at Pattons Fine Jewelry. 

We’re eager to hear more about this family-owned business, so in this episode, we’re delighted to have Kevin Patton.

Kevin shares it started as a humble mom-and-pop shop in downtown Alexandria, founded by his grandparents, Odell and Opel Patton. Over the years, Kevin and his brothers joined the business.  

Fast forward to today, and Patton Jewelers boasts two locations: the original store in Alexandria and a second one in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

During our conversation, we couldn’t help but notice the numerous awards Pattons Fine Jewelry has won in Louisiana. One standout jeweler is Belinda Wallace, who secured first place and a $6,000 prize at the 2021 Jewelers of Louisiana Convention! Her boulder opal with emeralds pendant is an absolute masterpiece. Kevin shares the story behind this remarkable piece, showcasing the creativity and expertise of their team.
