(DALLAS) – Heritage Auctions is pleased to announce that Gina D’Onofrio has re-joined Heritage Auctions’ team as Co-Director of Fine Jewelry in Heritage’s Beverly Hills office. D’Onofrio has worked in the retail, auction and manufacturing sectors of the jewelry industry since 1989, with experience encompassing jewelry design and production, appraisals, and buying and selling of contemporary, antique and period jewelry. She joins a distinguished team that includes Dallas-based Jill Burgum, Heritage’s Executive Director of Fine Jewelry along with Ana Wroblaski, also based in Beverly Hills.

“The Heritage Jewelry Department is excited to welcome Gina D’Onofrio back,” says Burgum. “Gina brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and talent to the team that is much appreciated.”

“We are absolutely delighted to have Gina back with the Heritage family,” says Ed Beardsley, Heritage’s Vice President and Managing Director. “Her knowledge of jewelry and skills in assisting buyers and sellers are second to none.”

D’Onofrio opened an independent appraisal business in Los Angeles in 2000. The gemological laboratory, appraisal service and consulting firm catered to individuals, banks, trusts, non-profit organizations, insurance companies, legal firms and the jewelry trade in the greater Los Angeles area. In 2016 she was appointed Director of Fine Jewelry at Heritage, a position she held for five years until she left the auction house in early 2022 to resume running her appraisal business.

“The lure of auctions proved irresistible, leading me straight back to Heritage,” says D’Onofrio. “It’s a joy to be working again with such a brilliant team of jewelry specialists and I am excited to be part of the growth and success our combined talents will achieve moving forward.”

D’Onofrio is a Certified Master Appraiser with the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and a Master Gemologist Appraiser® with the American Society of Appraisers. She has received Los Angeles Magazine’s coveted “Best in LA” award for her jewelry appraisal services. D’Onofrio conducts presentations about appraisal and jewelry-related topics to private and corporate groups in Los Angeles and throughout the USA.

The Story Behind the Stone: Metal Mashup

Reading Time: 6 minutes I have to confess I just learned about electrum when this topic crawled up on my radar. We love the wide range of jewelry metals today that give consumers tremendous options for creating the exact piece of their dreams.
