Kay’s Fine Jewelry becomes the first retailer worldwide to introduce the Italian fine jewelry brand’s newly developed retail format. ARUBA — CHIMENTO, the Italian fine jewelry house, has officially launched its newly developed Shop-in-Shop concept, with the first installation worldwide unveiled at Kay’s Fine Jewelry in Aruba.

The new retail concept was created to establish a distinctive, immediately recognizable CHIMENTO environment within leading independent jewelry stores, giving consumers a dedicated destination to discover the brand, its collections, and its Italian identity.

The concept integrates dedicated jewelry showcases, wall displays, freestanding elements, visual merchandising, and architectural finishes to create a cohesive CHIMENTO presence while allowing the format to adapt to each retailer’s existing environment.

Kay’s Fine Jewelry in Aruba is the first retail partner worldwide to implement the new CHIMENTO Shop-in-Shop format, establishing an important benchmark for the brand’s future retail development.

The opening also represents a significant milestone in CHIMENTO’s continued expansion throughout North America and the Caribbean, where the brand is represented and developed by Miami-based IFE LUX Group.

“This is much more than the opening of a new retail space. It represents the worldwide debut of CHIMENTO’s new Shop-in-Shop concept,” said Dario Pastorelli, President of IFE LUX Group. “We are extremely proud that Kay’s Fine Jewelry in Aruba is the first retail partner to bring this new concept to life. It reflects both the growth CHIMENTO is experiencing in our markets and the confidence our retail partners continue to place in the brand.”

Developed around CHIMENTO’s distinctive visual identity, the new format combines refined architectural lines with the brand’s signature warm palette and materials. Dedicated display areas showcase the jewelry while giving consumers a more immersive look at CHIMENTO’s craftsmanship, contemporary design, and Italian heritage.

Importantly for independent jewelers, the concept is a modular retail system that can be adapted to different store environments. Wall-mounted showcases, freestanding display units and counters can be combined according to the retailer’s available space while maintaining a consistent CHIMENTO identity.

“Our objective is to continue developing CHIMENTO selectively with strong independent retail partners that share our commitment to quality, service and long-term brand building,” Pastorelli added. “The Aruba opening is the first expression of this new retail vision and an important milestone as we continue expanding CHIMENTO throughout North America and the Caribbean.”

The project further strengthens the partnership among CHIMENTO, IFE LUX Group and Kay’s Fine Jewelry, while establishing a new retail platform designed to support the brand’s continued development.

CHIMENTO is an Italian fine jewelry house recognized for combining Italian goldsmith tradition, contemporary design and technical innovation. It designs and manufactures its jewelry in Vicenza, Italy.

IFE LUX Group, headquartered in Miami, represents and develops selected Italian and European luxury jewelry brands throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America.

Elongated Diamond Shapes Are Taking Over Jewelry

Reading Time: 9 minutes Key takeaways • Elongated diamond shapes like ovals, marquise, pears, baguettes, cushions, and radiants are dominating consumer demand and shifting retailer buying patterns away from traditional round cuts. • These shapes provide strong finger coverage and create the optical illusion of a larger stone face-up compared to round diamonds of the same carat weight. • The trend is significantly accelerated by the accessibility of lab-created diamonds, allowing buyers to select larger proportions and higher carat weights. For decades, the round brilliant diamond remained the undisputed leader of jewelry. It was the traditional standard for engagement rings, bridal jewelry, and many fine jewelry collections, prized for its timelessness and unmatched brilliance. But over the last several years, the market has undergone a dramatic transformation. Today, elongated diamond cuts, particularly oval, marquise, pear, baguette, and elongated cushion and radiant c...

The Retailer’s Perspective: It’s Showtime (Again)!

I just got home from the Atlanta Jewelry Show, and thought I’d share some thoughts and discoveries with everyone from the show. Here’s what you missed if you haven’t been to a trade show in a while. First and foremost… They are fun! The really cool thing about a trade show is the interaction with your longtime friends and business associates. I’ve got friends in this business that I’ve known for 43 years. Many of those friends I’ve only seen face-to-face 43 times – always at a trade show . A jewelry trade show is a hands-on experience. Most days I’m at the point that I don’t want to look at another piece of jewelry on a phone or computer screen. I don’t care how many pics you take, and how many angles you shoot it from, you never really capture the essence of the piece. Being real jewelers , we know the only way to evaluate, and assess, a piece’s true quality and workmanship is to hold it in our hands. A jewelry trade show is a full blown, hands-on, experience. We’ve all bought jew...
