The Texas Jewelers Association will celebrate 120 years of service to the jewelry industry during its 2026 Convention, October 10–11 at the Austin Marriott South in Austin, Texas.

120TH Anniversary - 2026 CONVENTION

Retail jewelers and industry professionals from Texas and across the country are invited to join a weekend centered on education, connection and camaraderie.

The convention begins Saturday, October 10, with the TJA Shoot Out at The Range at Austin. The friendly competition is open to jewelers and their guests, with prizes awarded for first, second and third place.

Saturday evening, attendees will gather from 7:00–9:00 p.m. for the President’s Party at the Austin Marriott South. The event will feature music, cocktails, refreshments and an opportunity to reconnect with industry friends while developing new relationships.

Sunday’s educational program includes:

  • David Baker, GG, presenting “Laser Sawing of Diamond Crystals Revisited: What’s Happened in the Last 45 Years?”
  • Douglas K. Hucker, GG, presenting “Beyond the Rainbow: Our Dazzling Journey Through the World of Colored Gemstones”
  • A panel discussion on “How to Hire and Keep Good Employees and Jewelers”
  • Leela Hutchison sharing her experience as part of the first group of explorers to enter the Giant Selenite Crystal Caves of Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico

Following the educational sessions, attendees will enjoy lunch, awards and introductions before the TJA Discovery Room opens for the afternoon. Retailers will have the opportunity to meet industry vendors, explore products and services and develop valuable business connections.

“This is more than a convention—it is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Texas Jewelers Association,” said Rita Wade, Operations Director. “Texas may be in our name, but we welcome retailers and jewelry professionals from across the country to join us in Austin as we celebrate 120 years and look toward the future.”
