(GENEVA) – Fullord unveils Masai Slim, a new interpretation of one of the Maison’s most emblematic collections. Distinguished by finer proportions and a more understated silhouette, the new creations offer a fresh perspective on the distinctive spearhead motif that has become synonymous with Masai.

Deeply rooted in Sandrine Thibaud’s childhood memories, Founder and Creative Director of Fullord, the collection draws inspiration from her upbringing in Africa. As a child, she listened to her neighbor recount stories about her Maasai grandparents, memories shared with such affection that they left a lasting impression.

The Maasai spear, traditionally associated with protection, later inspired a jewelry design of profound personal significance. For Sandrine, the motif represents both a connection to her childhood land and a sense of protection.

With Masai Slim, Fullord preserves this symbolism while exploring a lighter, more delicate expression of the original design.

A SIGNATURE REFINED

Masai Slim reinterprets the collection’s distinctive architecture through a study of proportion.

The original design has been streamlined, creating a finer presence on the skin without compromising the graphic strength of its signature spearhead motif. The defining composition of two opposing spearheads remains central to each creation, maintaining the Masai collection’s visual identity.

The slimmer silhouette also introduces new styling possibilities. Worn alone, Masai Slim offers a discreet interpretation of the design. Layered or paired with existing Masai pieces, it creates a more expressive composition, allowing the collection to evolve with the individual wearer.

THE SPEARHEAD, THREE EXPRESSIONS IN 18K GOLD

Crafted in 18K yellow, rose, and white gold, Masai Slim comes in three interpretations, each highlighting the spearhead motif differently.

A polished gold version brings the design’s purity to the forefront, emphasizing its clean, sculptural lines. A second interpretation features diamonds set along the spearhead’s sides, drawing attention to its geometry through subtle reflections of light. The fully diamond-set version offers a more luminous expression of the same distinctive silhouette. You can combine different gold colors and diamond settings for further personalization and layering.

Designed for women and men alike, Masai Slim retains the original collection’s symbolic character while offering a more versatile way to wear it.

A PERSONAL SYMBOL, REIMAGINED

Sandrine Thibaud, Founder & Creative Director of Fullord, said: “Masai has always been a very personal collection for me. It brings me back to my childhood in Africa and the stories I grew up hearing. The spearhead is not simply a design element; it represents protection and everything that those early years gave me. With Masai Slim, I wanted to keep that meaning intact while creating something finer, more discreet and easier to combine with other pieces. The proportions may have changed, but the spirit of Masai remains exactly the same.”

With Masai Slim, Fullord continues the evolution of one of its most distinctive collections, bringing new proportions and styling possibilities to a design whose significance remains deeply connected to its founder’s personal history.

Elongated Diamond Shapes Are Taking Over Jewelry

Reading Time: 9 minutes Key takeaways • Elongated diamond shapes like ovals, marquise, pears, baguettes, cushions, and radiants are dominating consumer demand and shifting retailer buying patterns away from traditional round cuts. • These shapes provide strong finger coverage and create the optical illusion of a larger stone face-up compared to round diamonds of the same carat weight. • The trend is significantly accelerated by the accessibility of lab-created diamonds, allowing buyers to select larger proportions and higher carat weights. For decades, the round brilliant diamond remained the undisputed leader of jewelry. It was the traditional standard for engagement rings, bridal jewelry, and many fine jewelry collections, prized for its timelessness and unmatched brilliance. But over the last several years, the market has undergone a dramatic transformation. Today, elongated diamond cuts, particularly oval, marquise, pear, baguette, and elongated cushion and radiant c...
